How to sex your Plants

An important part of the grow is having the ability to tell if your marijuana plants are boys or girls. This is important as a male plant within the crop can ruin the entire grow. Let me explain:

Female marijuana plants are what you are after here. They are what produce the buds and have the higher concentration of THC of the 2 sexs. Male plants produce pollen which is carried by air flow onto the female buds. All the little pockets that would've been laden with THC resin would now be fertilised and drastically drop the THC content to produce seeds. Female plants without seeds (sensimelia) is what you want.

To determine sex of the marijuana, wait until after 2 weeks into the flower cycle and you will begin to see the pre flowers of the plant. If there is a male, get rid of it before the pollen sacs open and ruin your crop, unless of course, seeds are what you are growing for. To save yourself the trouble, just get feminised seeds. They are more expensive but you will save in the end because the entire crop, if grown properly, will give you females. See the 2 pictures below to see the difference for yourself.
